IRARA provides a wide range of support through the reintegration programme. This includes pre-departure assistance, on-arrival help and longer-term support when you are back in your home country. Support covers airport reception, accommodation for up to five nights, transportation to your destination, care and food provision packs, and small cash assistance for immediate needs. Longer-term support includes help with finding employment, setting up a business, accessing vocational training or further education, and assistance with legal migration opportunities.
If you can no longer stay (or no longer wish to stay) in the UK and you need to return home, you can receive assistance from IRARA through a reintegration programme. The support is free to access and is available regardless of your circumstances. This support is available for up to 12 months following your return to your home country.
If you are currently in the UK, you can contact the IRARA office directly. You can call or email the team who will guide you through the registration process. If you have already returned to your home country, you can contact the local IRARA partner office in your country for ongoing reintegration support.
Yes, all support provided through the IRARA reintegration programme is completely free to access. There are no costs involved for you at any stage of the process — from initial contact through to long-term reintegration support in your home country.
When you arrive home, you will be met by an IRARA representative who is there to help you. Team members can help you with any immediate support you need, including immediate accommodation, medical signposting or transport. You will then be supported through a personalised reintegration plan designed around your specific needs.
Once you have been home for a short while, the IRARA team will meet with you to discuss your current situation, your skills and your needs. Together, you will develop a tailored reintegration plan. IRARA can help you apply for a job, set up a business, access training or enrol in education. Once you have created a reintegration plan that you are happy with, IRARA applies for a grant on your behalf and takes care of all the payments to suppliers and vendors.
Support is available for up to 12 months following your return to your home country. This includes both the immediate assistance upon arrival and longer-term reintegration support designed to help you rebuild your life sustainably.
The Home Office Returns Reintegration Programme assists the return and reintegration of people in the United Kingdom with no legal status or right to remain. The programme offers a wide range of services, providing assistance on arrival and longer-term support for persons returning to their home country.
